In this yearlong migration project, I managed feature development and implementation of a custom Salesforce app in NPSP CM to replace a legacy Access database.
I was responsible for collecting system requirements, use cases, project management, user training, and post-implementation product ownership.
By involving myself closely in operations, my co-design method helped ensure the needs of multiple user groups were represented and prioritized appropriately.
This migration significantly improved data quality, transparency, and performance. For example, because we were able to utilize CRM features to monitor disbursement lead time, we identified a critical bottleneck and reduced the average time it took to issue rent assistance checks from 16 days to just 3 days within 6 months.
